Tuesday 11/28 Book Club at the Village Club7:30pm
The book club will be reading, “The War That Saved My Life”, by Kim Bradley. Book Club discussions are held at the Village Club at 7:30 on the last Tuesday of the month. Let’s make the community look great for the Holiday Season! We’ll be giving awards for the Best Holiday Decorating in each District!
Thursday 12/14 Ladies Night/Dirty Santa Holiday Party at the Village Club 7pm
Bring a $20 gift to exchange, Something to treasure, The bigger the laugh, The greater the pleasure! Please bring a “Dirty Santa” gift. As they say, “one’s man trash, is another man’s treasure”. Also, bring Holiday Cookies to share and any leftover we can scatter amongst the group.
Friday 12/15 Boomers and Beyond Holiday Party at the Village Club 5:30pm
Boomers (both singles and couples over 50) meet at the Village Clubhouse the third Friday of each month at 5:30pm. This month we’ll be celebrating the Holidays. Wear your Holiday Attire, bring your Favorite Holiday Appetizer to share and the beverage of your choice. If you would like to play left, right, center, bring three one dollar bills per person.

Come join your neighbors for Chlli and Caroling onSunday December 17th from 5:00pm until. Bring your favorite chili or a side to share and BYOB. Caroling will begin at 6:15pm. We will caravan through the neighborhood on your decorated golf carts, trailers if you are willing to share, and cars. Sunday 12/17 Men’s Christmas Book Club at the Village Club 7:30pm
What: 2 Group Discussions of “Hidden Christmas”-a Great book by Tim Keller pointing to some often overlooked aspects of Christ’s Birth that shine a light on The Gospel. If you haven’t read any of Tim’s writing…you’re missing out.
When: December 17– 7:30 PM (chapter 5-8)
Open to all.- Invite any interested friends. Go ahead and purchase a book…about $10-15. Available on Amazon and other outlets (mine came in a few days-read ahead to be able to discuss). For each Chapter write down something that you learned, thought was interesting or a question for discussion. Led by: Daniel Dunbar, but this will be an open discussion.
Thursday 12/21 Men’s Night POKER GAME at the Village Club 7pm
POKER GAME!!! Lose a few old presidents & win some new friends. Low stakes, High fun. No experience preferred. Men’s Night is the ThirdThursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage and a snack.
Wellness Programs at Saluda River Club:
Due to the lack of participation and the instructor’s conflicting schedule, we’ve had to remove Cardio Jam from our fitness class schedule.
From the instructor: “I have been teaching at Saluda River Club for the past 5 years and it has been a great experience. I have met a lot of awesome people along the way. Thank you again for the opportunity. Have a great holiday season and a wonderful new year!”

Here’s What’s Happening Around the Area this Month
Snowball Festival, Concert, Carnival & Tree Lighting
Friday, December 1st, 6-8pm
Lexington Square Park
205 E Main Street
The Concert, Carnival and Tree Lighting will take place Friday, December 1st from 6pm-8pm at Lexington Square Park. The Tree Lighting is at 8pm. This FREE event includes a caricature artist, magician, 3 face painters, 3 balloon artists, and a glitter artist along with musical entertainment and of course Jolly Ole’ St. Nick, with free photos provided by Walgreens. S’mores and Hot Chocolate will also be available!
