Here’s What’s Happening Around the Neighborhood this Month:
Join your neighbors for Aqua Fit on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Village Club at 6pm.
August Activities:
Wednesday 8/8, 15, 22, 29 Ladies Bible Study at the Village Club 7pm
Please join us for Bible Study at the Village Club on Wednesday nights.
Thursday 8/9 Ladies Meet & Greet at the Village Club 7pm
Ladies Meet and Greet is the second Thursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage, a small snack to share, and mingle with your neighbors!
Saturday 8/11 Back to School Kids Sale at the Chickawa Outdoor Center 9am-12pm
Back to school is around the corner! Let’s clean out our closets and fill them with “new” items! Please contact Kelly Gregory atkelly.recktenwald@gmail.com or 770-315-0355 if you are interested in consigning and she will assign you an area to set up.
An area will designated for donations to local needs. If you are not interested in consigning but still want to clean out your closet, please drop your items off!
In addition, SRC former and current resident owned boutiques are welcome to set up their sale/clearance items along with some featured back to school themed full price items.
Freeway Music will be set up in the lounge of the Chickawa hosting an “instrument try out session.” Music instructors will be available to talk to and let your child try out an instrument to see if they may be interested in music lessons.
Childcare will not be provided but Disc Golf will be set up on the Chickawa lawn (weather permitted) for fun. Adam and Emerson Gregory will be available for questions about disc golf!

What: Back to School Pool Party Hosted by Purnell Orthodontics & Saluda River Club Living Magazine
When: Sunday August 12th @ 2:00 – 5:00 pm
Where: Chickawa Outdoor Center Pool & Lawn Area
Who: Residents & Families of Saluda River Club Community
Food, Drinks & Desert: Purnell will be providing FREE pizza, drinks, sno cones, goody bag giveaways for kids,and coordinating fun lawn games for kids.
RSVP: Please RSVP by no later than Monday, August 6th and include how many family members & kids will be attending to activities@saludariverclub.com
Thursday 8/16 Men’s Night POKER GAME at the Village Club 7pm
POKER GAME!!! Lose a few old presidents & win some new friends. Low stakes, High fun. No experience preferred. Men’s Night is the Third Thursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage and a snack.
Friday 8/17 Boomers and Beyond at the Village Club 5:30pm
Boomers (both singles and couples over 50) meet at the Village Clubhouse the third Friday of each month at 5:30pm. Bring an appetizer to share and the beverage of your choice. If you would like to play left, right, center, bring three one dollar bills per person.
Tuesday 8/21 Ladies Bunco at the Village Club 7pm
Come for a night of fun with the ladies of SRC who get together on the 3rd Tuesday of every month to play bunco. We start arriving @ 7pm and play till 8:30. Bring $5 for the winners pot……never played, don’t worry, there are a few veterans to teach the rules and get the games started. Tuesday 8/28 Book Club at the Village Club 7:30pm
The book club will be reading, “Beartown” by Fredrick Backman. Book club discussions are held at the Village Club at 7:30 on the last Tuesday of the month. Please join neighbors, Kelly Spears and Jennifer Horne, as they UNMASK beautiful SKIN with
Rodan+Fields.
They will speak on the four main skincare concerns, which include: acne, sun damage, anti-aging and dry sensitive skin. In addition, hear from a local Private Equity Advisor that will share on the recent partnership between TPG and Rodan+Fields.

National Night Out Lexington Square Park

National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes positive law enforcement and neighborhood relations along with a crime prevention component.
This event is free of charge and families who attend can enjoy dinner, festivities and fun thanks to key partnerships with several Town of Lexington businesses and organizations.
Partnerships with Town of Lexington, SC businesses and organizations always make this a great event for the community to attend.
9th Annual Palmetto Tasty Tomato Festival
