Here’s What’s Happening Around the Neighborhood this Month
Join your neighbors for Aqua Fit on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Village Club at 6pm.
September Activities:
Wednesday 9/12, 19, 26 Ladies Bible Study at the Village Club 7pm
Please join us for our Bible Study at the Village Club on Wednesday nights.
Thursday 9/13 Ladies Meet & Greet at the Village Club 7pm
Ladies Meet and Greet is the second Thursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage, a small snack to share, and mingle with your neighbors!
Tuesday 9/18 Ladies Bunco at the Village Club 7pm
Come for a night of fun with the ladies of SRC who get together on the 3rd Tuesday of every month to play bunco. We start arriving @ 7pm and play till 8:30. Bring $5 for the winners pot……never played, don’t worry, there are a few veterans to teach the rules and get the games started. Thursday 9/20 Men’s Night POKER GAME at the Village Club 7pm
POKER GAME!!! Lose a few old presidents & win some new friends. Low stakes, High fun. No experience preferred. Men’s Night is the Third Thursday of every month. Bring your favorite beverage and a snack.
Friday 9/21 Boomers and Beyond at the Village Club 5:30pm
Boomers (both singles and couples over 50) meet at the Village Clubhouse the third Friday of each month at 5:30pm. Bring an appetizer to share and the beverage of your choice. If you would like to play left, right, center, bring three one dollar bills per person.
Saturday 9/22 Fall Yard Sale 7-11am
Get rid of some things you don’t need and make a little cash! We’ll place an ad in The State Newspaper, post the event on Facebook, and place a sign out at the front of the community. Just bring your tables to the Village Green lawn. Or, set out your things at your house.
Tuesday 9/25 Book Club at the Village Club 7:30pm
The book club will be reading, “Send Down The Rain” by Charles Martin for September. Book club discussions are held at the Village Club at 7:30 on the last Tuesday of the month. Coming in November:
Calling all neighborhood vendors…this year’s Holiday Market is scheduled for Sunday. November 18th from 1:00pm – 5:00pm. If you’re interested in participating please email srcholidaymarket@gmail.com. We’ll open the market up to community vendors on September 15th. Whether you’re a vendor or a shopper this event is always a lot of fun and a great way to knock out some of that holiday shopping while supporting the small businesses in the community.

Resurrection – A Journey Tribute

Come out for the return of Resurrection – A Journey Tribute to the Icehouse Amphitheater. Opening up the show will be Interstate Exiles. Advance tickets are $19. If tickets remain, Day of the Show tickets are $24. .

Schoolhouse Rock Live! follows Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such songs as “Just a Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction.”
