The book club will be reading, “Send Down The Rain” by Charles Martin for September. Book club discussions are held at the Village Club at 7:30 on the last Tuesday of the month. Thursday 9/27 BP Skinner Event – Football, Food & Fittings at the Village Club 7-9pm
We want to meet our neighbors! Please join Brent and Marlo September 27th from 7-9 at The Village Club to watch the North Carolina vs Miami game while enjoying food and drinks. You’ll receive exclusive pricing made available just for you. A custom wardrobe shopping experience like none other!

Sunday 10/7 Ladies Bible Study at the Village Club 6:30pm
We will be starting a new bible study series in a few weeks and we would LOVE for you to join us! Please note that we are moving the study to Sunday nights instead of Wednesday nights. Our first meeting will be on Sunday, October 7th from 6:30-8:00 pm. If you are new to the neighborhood this is a great place to meet some really amazing ladies! Calling all neighborhood vendors…this year’s Holiday Market is scheduled for Sunday. November 18th from 1:00pm – 5:00pm. If you’re interested in participating please email srcholidaymarket@gmail.com. We’ll open the market up to community vendors on September 15th. Whether you’re a vendor or a shopper this event is always a lot of fun and a great way to knock out some of that holiday shopping while supporting the small businesses in the community.

Here’s What’s Happening Around the Area this Month
Irmo Okra Strut, Saturday, September 29th, 9am-10pm
The Annual Irmo Okra Strut Festival presented by Lexington Medical Center has been a southern favorite for 45 years.
Located at the beautiful Irmo Community Park, The Irmo Okra Strut takes place Friday September 28th and Saturday September 29th. This two-day festival is family friendly with No Admission Fee.
Saturday starts bright and early at 9 am for the Annual Okra Strut Parade. A local favorite that highlights our town leaders and local award-winning schools. Then right after the parade head straight back over to the Irmo Community Park for a full day of Fun, Fun and more Fun! We have amusement rides, fair food favorites, performances on the main stage and through the park all day. Plus, you can browse over 100 local vendors who will be giving out freebies and selling goods at the same time. There is just too much to list here.
Saturday night for your enjoyment, we are super excited to announce The Weight Band as our headlining act! With sounds that will remind you of Woodstock, it will be a rocking night and a perfect pairing to the ice-cold beer that will be flowing all night long! Opening for The Weight Band will be South Carolina’s own Rob Crosby a chart topper who needs no introduction. You will not want to miss these free musical events!

The Wizard of Oz comes alive as never before in the amazing 16 minute 4-D experience. With digital 3-D and state-of-the-art special effects including wind, lightening and many more surprises, this beloved classic becomes a modern 4-D adventure as the infamous tornado carries guests to the magical Land of Oz. Guests will join Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and even the Wicked Witch as they follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City.
After the movie walk through the new, interactive, magical maze through the Land of OZ, filled with all kinds of hidden fun for the family.
