Meadow Glen Middle School

Meadow Glen Middle School is one of the newest additions to the Lexington One School District. As a state of the art new school, Meadow Glen Middle School includes specialty labs, collaborative teaching spaces, performing arts and fine arts center and athletic facilities and fields. The home of the Gators features football, volleyball, baseball, softball, boys and girls basketball, soccer, golf cheerleading, track and wrestling.

Dr. Bill Coon is the Principal of Meadow Glen Middle School. In 2006, he opened Pleasant Hill Middle School and since then has won several awards, including a Palmetto Gold Award and a Red Carpet Award recognizing family friendly school environment and excellent customer service. He is joined by Natalie O. Smith, Dean for Innovative Relationships and Learning, and Kailanya S. Braley and Kyle Meetze, Deans of Character and Academic Development.

Meadow Glen Middle School is the first LEED certified middle school for the district. The school is active with its Green Steps initiative where iCivics classes work to make the school sustainable through a recycling project and several other efforts.
