Sarah and Josh Sadler share their thoughts on Saluda River Club
Sarah and Josh Sadler were among the first homeowners to move into Saluda River Club in 2009. Today, they are as excited as ever about the neighborhood.
Sarah loves spending time at the river and the pool with Lily, age four, and Charlotte, two. They’re often joined by neighboring families for waterfront picnics and play dates. “The longer we’re here the more there is to do and enjoy,” says Josh.
Columbia offers so much – parks, the zoo and concerts all without the hassle of big city traffic. And with the girls fast approaching school age, the Sadlers are thrilled that they’ll be attending the new Lexington 1 elementary school.
Another plus for Josh is easy access to fly fishing in the Saluda River. As a supplier of orthopedic trauma supplies, he assists doctors during emergency surgery and is frequently on call.
“I can load up the golf cart and go down to the river to fish, and if I get a call I can pack it up and be in the hospital in time for surgery,” he says.
The Sadlers love their four-bedroom Village District home, built by Tony Carnaggio of Lady Street Builders. (“Tony has been amazing since day one.”) Even with their third child on the way, there’s plenty of room to host visiting friends and family.
“We’re not planning on moving any time soon. But if we did, we’d want to stay right here in Saluda River Club,” adds Josh.
