Good News for Kayakers Living at Saluda River Club
One of the major benefits of living at Saluda River Club is access to the Saluda River. This is a special treat appreciated by many of our outdoor-loving residents, especially now that the season for canoeing and kayaking is here again – as you know, the season runs from April 1 – September 30!
Residents of Saluda River Club have access to a total of five landings along the Saluda River, listed Upriver to Downriver:
1. Mett’s Landing
2. Saluda River Club Upper
3. Saluda River Club Middle
4. Saluda River Club Lower
5. Canoeing for Kids (just before the I-20 bridge on right hand side).
Residents can choose to launch from Mett’s, SRC Upper or SRC Middle, while take-out locations include SRC Middle, SRC Lower or Canoeing for Kids (CFK).
Good news: extra flexibility to enjoy the great outdoors!
As always, residents are asked to make reservations for kayaking trips at least 24 hours in advance through the Saluda River Club website – but this year, on Saturdays and Sundays only, it will be possible to sign up and go kayaking on the same day – subject to availability. If a timeslot is still open, resident watersports lovers can request it for use that day.
So remember this the next time when the weather is perfect, and you just cannot wait to get out on the river: it may just be possible to snare a time slot to go kayaking on the Saluda – almost on the spur of the moment!
Note: For all details, policies and guidelines regarding kayaking, please check the Residents’ section of the website.
