Heather and Michael Weaver share their thoughts on Saluda River Club
Touring homes had always been a fun pastime for Heather and Michael Weaver, even when they weren’t officially in the market. In 2008 the couple saw Saluda River Club when it was part of the Parade of Homes.
“At the time we were living on the Northeast side of Columbia and we knew it wasn’t our ‘forever’ house,” says Heather. “We instantly fell in love with Saluda River Club when we saw it in the Parade, but we put it out of our mind because we just weren’t ready.”
Once they decided it was to time to move from their Columbia neighborhood (which had no amenities), the Weavers were parents of two pre-schoolers. They knew they wanted “at least a pool and some children’s activities.”
They found all that and more at their new home in Saluda River Club’s Savannah Park, which is within walking distance to playgrounds, trails and the pool.
Says Heather: “You can just feel the sense of community here with people out and about. You almost get that feeling you’re on vacation all the time!” Michael especially enjoys fishing, pickup volleyball with neighbors, river rafting and the neighborhood’s convenience to downtown.
“There’s so much going on for all ages … it’s up to you to get as much out of the community as you want,” she adds.
