Robin and Arlene Wilkes share their thoughts on Saluda River Club
“We knew one of the developers who is behind the vision of Saluda River Club and we knew the commitment would be for the long term,” says The Wilkes, not to mention that we had become “Empty Nesters” and with all of the amenities that SRC has to offer, this seemed to be the right place for us.
For Robin and his wife Arlene, a solid infrastructure was one of many features that attracted them to Saluda River Club. They were also drawn to the architecture and the hometown feeling. Also they were impressed with the generous landscaping and rich interior finishes of the homes here.
“There’s really a special bond here,” Arlene adds. When Robin experienced a brief illness, neighbors brought food and good wishes and several doctors in the community made sure to look in on him.
Robin’s recent retirement means he and Arlene have even more time to enjoy the Saluda River Club lifestyle. We’re buying a golf cart and I can see myself spending lots of time at the Chickawa Center, reading and working out at the gym,” says Robin.
Like other Saluda River Club grandparents, the Wilkes have discovered that the community is an ideal place to entertain the little ones. Their two-year-old grandson (and his parents!) are frequent visitors and enjoy spending time at the river and the pool.
“We would absolutely recommend Saluda River Club,” the Wilkes’ concluded.
